6th grade students at Bainbridge Middle School explore living on Mars with Dr. James Sowell, professor Emeritus of Astronomy at GaTECH as part of the Direct to Discovery partnership between GaTech and Decatur County Schools.
Ms. Rambo's 8th graders had an adventurous first nine weeks! They explored physical and chemical changes through hands-on activities like making pancakes and waffles and experimenting with Mentos and soda. Students investigated phase changes, gathered and analyzed data, and worked together to identify unknown materials.

Students at BMS who achieved perfect attendance during the first nine weeks of school were treated to chips and soda, courtesy of our friends at First Port City Bank.

Being present each day is one of the most important ways students can stay on track and succeed. Regular attendance helps students build strong relationships, keep up with learning, and develop the responsibility and consistency that lead to lifelong success. Every day in class is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of the Bearcat family!

Hutto Elementary's FIRST Explore Team and Bainbridge Middle School's FIRST LEGO LEAGUE Robotics teams are working with archaeologist Dr. Nathan Lawres to prepare for the "Unearthed" robotics competition. They're building robots and creating projects to support the world of archaeology.
