Our 6th grade ELA teachers are dedicating time to teach students the value of reading books and how it can transform their academic journey. When students check out a book from the BMS Media Hub, they're doing more than just borrowing something to read—they're opening up a world of possibilities that our teachers are committed to helping them explore.

Our ELA teachers want students to understand that reading books help them become stronger learners in every subject. The more students read, the better they get at understanding complex ideas, learning new vocabulary, and thinking critically—essential skills that our teachers work hard to develop. Whether students are into fantasy adventures, sports stories, graphic novels, or books about real people and places, every book they read builds the brain power our teachers are nurturing each day.

Students are encouraged to check out books to explore their interests freely. Maybe a student is curious about coding, wants to learn more about marine biology, or just needs a good laugh. The BMS Media Hub has something for everyone, and it's all free to borrow.

Our 6th grade ELA teachers also recognize that reading is one of the best ways for students to relax and escape stress. After a busy day of classes, homework, and activities, getting lost in a good book can help students unwind and recharge, building the healthy habits our teachers model and support.The BMS 6th Grade ELA team is committed to lead by fostering a love of reading, learning alongside their students as they discover new books and ideas together, and lifting every student to greater academic heights by building the critical thinking, comprehension, and communication skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
